Bloomsburie designed and developed First Responder HAZMAT/WMD Awareness & Operations training. The training addresses the Awareness and Operations level competencies of the 2018 edition of NFPA 472: Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents. Non-physical skills portions of the standard are covered, and can be used either as a component of initial training for responders or as stand-alone annual refresher training to meet OSHA and emergency personnel jurisdiction's Awareness and Operations refresher training requirements.
The free program includes 18 short online courses or units-6 short courses/units for Awareness level training and 12 short courses/units for Operations level training. The program is user-friendly with engaging graphics, activities, and periodic knowledge checks. It also includes a post-test that allows students to receive a certificate of completion and test scores for inclusion in their jurisdiction's training records.
