The Frederic V. Malek West Point Visitor Center (WPVC) opened on October 27, 2017. The new and improved WPVC is now a state-of-the-art facility with high-tech interactive exhibits, a theater, and gift shop. The WPVC seeks to preserve military tradition while reinforcing the Army's commitment to innovation and adaptation. The 15,000 square foot exhibit space, housed inside the new state-of-the-art visitor's center, honors the many remarkable leaders that have formed the "Long Gray Line."
Since September 2018, Bloomsburie provides visitor center assistance guides, and training for the WPVC. Our services include:
- Communicate a broader understanding of the exhibit's concepts to include the Academy, its history, and purpose
- Develop education content for school groups and young visitors
- Support with preparation and presentation of tours to VIPs, dignitaries, and potential admissions candidates and alumni
Our team presents West Point's deep connection to history as we focus on the military themes of the "Long Gray Line, West Point: The National Treasure Developing Leaders of Character, the Corps of Cadets, Leaders of Character Ready to Serve, and Recalling the Past: Inspiring the Future." Our goal is that visitors leave the Center with a profound sense of pride in the United States Military Academy and an understanding of what it provides and represents to the nation.
In 2020, Bloomsburie developed 16 online courses during the COVID-19 Pandemic teleworking period. The courses provide an excellent starting point for visitors interested in learning more about the U.S. Military Academy but cannot visit because of the pandemic. The courses are hosted internally by Bloomsburie.
